From the deck plates to the drawing board.
Bob Smith enlisted in the United States Navy and rose to the rank of Commander over more than twenty six years of service, including combat deployments and assignments on advanced weapons systems. He was named the U.S. Navy Engineer of the Year in 2023.
Along the way he earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology and a Master of Science in Systems Engineering. Engineers are trained to do something Washington has forgotten how to do: define the problem honestly, test the fix, and own the result.
Today Bob lives in Carpinteria with his wife Adriana and their children. He is a candidate for Congress because the families on this coast deserve a representative who measures success by problems solved, not by headlines earned.
