Talking across the aisle

“We need more people that are willing to talk, talk on issues, talk across the aisle, and engage on all the things that are affecting our community. And right now we have a lack of that going on. We have a lot of partisan, divisive politics going on in our communities and in our country, and we need to solve those issues.”

- Work with anyone who will work on the problem, from either party.
- Never attack a neighbor’s motives to win an argument about policy.
- Say the same thing in Washington that he says in Lompoc.
- Show the math when he votes no.
