1. Agreement to these terms
This website is operated by Bob Smith for Congress. By using this site you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. Text messages (SMS and MMS)
If you give us your mobile number, you consent to receive SMS and MMS messages from Bob Smith for Congress. Here is exactly what that means.
- Frequency varies. We do not send on a fixed schedule. Message volume changes with the campaign calendar and increases near election day.
- Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier, not the campaign, may charge you for messages.
- Reply STOP to opt out. You can cancel at any time from any message. We will send one confirmation, then stop.
- Reply HELP for help. Or contact us using the details in section 8.
- Your information is not sold or shared. We do not sell, rent, or trade your phone number. See our Privacy Policy and Terms.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Consent is not a condition of any purchase or contribution. You can support the campaign without giving us your number.
3. Email
If you give us your email address, you consent to receive campaign email. Every message includes a way to unsubscribe, and we act on unsubscribes promptly.
4. Contributions
Contributions are processed by a third-party provider on its own site, under its own terms and privacy policy. The campaign does not receive or store your full payment card details.
Contributions to Bob Smith for Congress are not tax deductible. Federal law requires us to collect and report the name, mailing address, occupation, and employer of individuals whose contributions exceed $200 per election cycle. Federal law prohibits contributions from foreign nationals who lack permanent residence in the United States, from corporations and labor organizations, and from one person made in the name of another.
