Common Sense. Common Ground.

As a retired Navy Commander who rose from the enlisted ranks to become a senior commissioned officer, I worked with diverse individuals from various cultural, economic, and social backgrounds across every state and territory. I learned to collaborate with others and developed skills in active listening, following, and leadership. With nearly three decades of honorable service to our country, I’ve built a strong foundation and expertise in working with diverse groups and individuals of varying backgrounds and interests to unify and align behind common objectives. I understand that teamwork, enriched by diverse perspectives, enhances problem-solving. I strive to recognize the merit in everyone’s viewpoint. I’m a problem solver and a proactive leader. I value my ability to build teams and help everyone find common ground.

Our country needs leaders in Congress who can find solutions and heal the partisan divide. The world, nation, state, and 24th District face numerous complex challenges. We require principled yet practical leaders who can build consensus and pursue common ground. Unfortunately, the incumbent, Salud Carbajal, is no such leader.

I aim to address these complex challenges as I did during my 26-year Navy career. I plan to achieve this by representing everyone in the 24th Congressional District and holding myself accountable to you. I’m asking for your support in providing the desperately needed and effective bipartisan leadership our nation requires.
